Evangelism is one of the chief callings of Christians and even of human beings. The announcing of the “evangelion”, the good news, to “all creation” is part of Mark’s gospel commission (Mark 16:15). The declaring of the glory of God within creation, by bringing order and drawing out beauty is the calling of every human being (Genesis 1:26-2:25). But evangelism appears to have fallen on hard times in our day and culture. Can the practice be rescued? Might there be a way to arrest the attention of the present generation as well as the previous and the next? I believe, without a doubt, that there is. On this week’s Podcast, I am joined by a very special guest from Columbia
International University. Dr. David Cashin, professor of global, Muslim, and Intercultural Studies, will be sharing with us some keen insights on evangelism in our own culture as well as touch a little bit on the subject of reaching out to Muslims. Dr. Cashin also has a very helpful e-booklet that he offers for free to those who are interested in learning more about how to be effective evangelists in our culture today. If you would like a copy of this great and free resource, you may email Dr. Cashin directly: dcashin@ciu.edu
