How to Release a Personal Revival

Millions of Christians are oblivious or opposed to one of Jesus’ foundational ministries: deliverance from demons.

Many Christians still don't believe that they can have demons. Because they won't acknowledge their demons, they can't get free of them.

Luke’s Gospel says that Jesus was tempted by the devil in the wilderness three times. After the third failed attempt, Luke says Satan “left until another opportunity.” Luke 4:13.

We know that Satan failed to lure Jesus into sin, but not because Jesus couldn't sin. Temptation isn't a temptation if it is impossible to act on. Remember that Jesus sweat drops of blood when wrestling in prayer before His arrest. Jesus knew the torture that awaited Him, and He felt pain. Jesus was and is a human, Whom the Bible says “was tempted in every way, yet without sin.” Hebrews 4:15. Jesus felt the temptation to run in the garden, and each of the Devil’s offers in the wilderness tempted Him. After all, Satan offered Jesus the kingdoms of the world, which He came to claim, only without the crucifixion. Jesus resisted (Glory to His name!), and Satan fled. But Satan still prowled around looking for another opportunity to tempt Jesus.

Now if Satan believes that he has the opportunity to tempt the perfect Son of God, do you doubt that his snake eyes are on much easier targets like you and me?

The Apostle Paul said, “BE ANGRY, AND YET DO NOT SIN; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.”

Ephesians 4:26-27

Can any of us deny that we have given the devil many opportunities?

If Jesus had given in to any of the devil’s temptations, the devil would have gained the advantage over Jesus and the world. But Jesus won that struggle once and for all.

We are not Jesus. We lost the struggle with temptation and gave the devil many footholds. We can only win the battle against the powers of darkness when we come under the victory of Jesus. We must humble ourselves, repent, and receive the deliverance that comes from the only victorious One: Jesus, our Messiah. The only reason Christians believe we cannot have demons (I speak from personal experience) is because we are proud. And pride is the chief of all demons. Slay

that dragon by humbling yourself. Let God minister to you today, and stop resisting His grace.
