If The Church Was A Building

If the Church was a building, banks could foreclose on it, fire could burn it, Communism could demolish it, ISIS could bomb it, and governments could confiscate it.

If the Church was an organization, greed could overtake it, pride could take charge of it, and power could corrupt it.

If the Church was a social construct, prejudice could guide it, tradition could override it, and peer-pressure could redirect it.

But the Church is not a building, an organization, nor a social construct.

The Church IS THE BODY OF JESUS. Jesus is the head, irremovable and the backbone, indestructible.

The Church IS THE TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD, made up of the living stones of people filled with the Holy Spirit.

The Church IS THE PLACE WHERE HEAVEN AND EARTH MEET.

By the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, I am an eternal member of the Church and I cannot be excommunicated by men. “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
